CHICAGO BULLS
I was sitting around a bus terminal the other day so I grabbed a River West Chicago neighborhood directory to leaf through. I didn’t think that I had ever been in River West in my life, but then I noticed that the United Center was there. When I was younger, it was the heyday of the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan dominated the NBA along with Scottie Pippen. I went to two Chicago Bulls games in my childhood. The first was during the 1993-1994 season. Yes, you are correct. That was the year after they had won their third title and Michael Jordan had retired that summer. Still, they had a good team and it was a good game that they won. Next year, they had a worse team and when I went to a game they struggled but still won in the end. A few months later, Michael Jordan caused a stir by un-retiring and rejoining the team. I missed seeing him play live by just a couple of months. I know it took him a few months to readjust to a professional athlete’s life and to settle back in, but it still would have been something to say that I had seen him live.
