Running the Race of Life

Four of my friends live together at this apartment they called the Mortimer Theater. It’s a typically dive with bad ceilings, poor heating, and the occasional rodent problem. Not to mention it has all the problems you’d expect from four guys living together. They have this big Logan Square Chicago neighborhood guide tacked up on their kitchen wall since that’s the neighborhood they live in. Naturally, they’ve already marked it all up. I’m not exactly sure where they got “Mortimer”. I’m supposing they randomly came up with it. I do know why they call it a theater though. The apartment is actually an old storefront with a kitchen, a couple of bathrooms, and four bedrooms in the back. The storefront itself they turned into a home theater. They hung a projection screen up on the front wall and hooked it up to their Xbox and a DVD player. Every Thursday night, its movie night and they’ll play two of them. A few of these guys have literally nothing better to do than to shop around, looking or different movies to play on movie night. They have no hobbies except for the actual hobby of looking for movies. They certainly are an eccentric bunch.
